Meet Catharina

Professional side

I have over 15 years of experience in international cooperation and more than 20 years in strategic communication. Throughout my career, I have specialized in knowledge management and facilitating processes in complex topics. I am currently a PhD candidate in Political Communication (FHC/UCP) and hold a Master’s degree in Intercultural Education (FU-Berlin).

My areas of expertise include participatory processes with governments, capacity development, facilitation, and training within international technical cooperation. I also work in intercultural communication, climate change, just energy transition, and gender equality.

My current doctoral research explores how social media shape political perceptions among young adults in Brazil. The thesis was submitted in September 2024.

The Personal Touch

My work is undoubtedly a significant part of who I am, but it’s just one aspect of me. Like everyone, I am shaped by a blend of passions and experiences that fuel both my career and creativity.

I am fascinated by cultures, stories, and their flavors. Traveling and immersing myself in diverse traditions helps me better understand my own background and perspectives.

And here’s a sweet confession: I am driven by cakes! Homemade baking is my happy place, a personal ritual in which creativity and care come together in perfect harmony.
